The Thunderbolt 3 Sonnet Echo Express SEL expansion chassis are used in the 2019 models of the M|Family range of products. You can order the chassis separately either to upgrade an existing configuration that you would have, or to be ready with a backup plan in case you have an issue with your expansion chassis.
